Spa World has been
retailing portable spa pools since the introduction of the portable spa itself. Spa World entered
the business world on March 21st, 1983, when Mike and Gerry signed the company's articles of
incorporation, in Melbourne, Australia. With $90,000 in cash and an unexplored market in-front of
them, Mike and Gerry gave birth to what was to become one of the leading specialist spa retailers
across the globe.
The
Foundation
Mike and Gerry insisted that the
company's future lay in not only providing customers with a diverse range of models, but ultimate
levels of customer service not seen before. Beginning in 1984, their company formed an alliance
with Monarch® Spas, a then upstart Australian spa company which had significant cost and feature
advantages over imported American spas. Their brand is still as strong as ever, with many tens of
thousands of delighted customers across the globe owning a Monarch Spa in their home, garden,
terrace, or balcony. With 50 Spa World stores across Australia, plus even more in Asia and Europe

Becoming a Global
Company
Spa World is now
synonymous with spa retailing not only in Australasia, but across many countries throughout the
world. In the late 80s Spa World expanded into Asia, and in 2001 Spa World entered the European
market. With affiliated stores in place right across Europe, the market was a natural stepping
stone. Spa World is now recognized as a market leader, and with its management and ownership under
the global Spa World banner, our presence in the market is built on the same solid foundation. It

Today, Spa World has

and an investment of c.US$1m in Monarch's new Chinese production line; state-of-the-art
